Firstly, let’s be clear, reading, writing, maths… essential. There are Grade 3’s that haven’t spent a full year in school since Foundation, Foundation students that cannot hold a pen, and secondary students that have scarcely entered a secondary school building.
What Is an INCURSION?
Typically, a school incursion is an event where an external service provider is invited into a school to deliver an educational activity for their students. This type of activity is aimed at providing students with an opportunity to participate in a purposefully designed hands-on program within an environment that enables every participant to excel in areas of interest and skillsets.
Whether your students are learning in lockdown, rural areas or unable to leave the classroom, virtual excursions provide an interactive and engaging way to learn from home.
Screen can be best described as the amount of time spent looking at a screen such as TVs, computers, smartphones, tablets, and video game consoles. Screens are used for work, education and leisure. For many of us they are essential to our daily life!
