Who are we?
Westcoast Adventure (incorporating Westcoast Surf School) is an outdoor adventure and recreation business based in Torquay Victoria. Operating since 1993, guided tours and instruction are offered in surfing, bodyboarding, surf and river kayaking, snorkelling, rockclimbing, abseiling, team building and initiative programs.

Programs
We provide quality outdoor experiences for primary, secondary and tertiary groups, corporate clients and the general public. Instruction and equipment are provided for activities.
Programs vary from one hour private lessons to five day programs and we cater for all ages and requirements, including groups with special needs. All programs are specifically tailored to the needs of each client and can be either recreationally or educationally focused.
Westcoast Surf School operates at Torquay, Anglesea, and Ocean Grove beaches. We are open seven days a week from October to May. We teach thousands of people each year how to surf, from 8 to 80 years old, providing programs from private coaching to large groups of up to 90 people. Large, stable softboards and full-length wetsuits are supplied. Programs range from single two hour surf lessons to multi day, multi activity programs.
We pride ourselves in being a highly professional and friendly organisation and to date have many thousands of satisfied clients. Our safety record is outstanding and our services are currently being utilised on a regular basis by over one hundred and fifty Victorian schools, universities, businesses, youth groups and other organisations.
Our Staff
Westcoast Adventure's qualified, experienced and friendly staff have a genuine love of the outdoors and take pleasure in passing their skills and knowledge onto their students. Student safety and comfort is paramount and every effort is made to ensure customer satisfaction. Our staff act professionally at all times and treat their students with respect. They teach and encourage respect for the natural environment and the equipment they are using.
Accreditation, Insurance & Permits
Westcoast Adventure currently is fully accredited with the Better Business Tourism Accreditation Program. This program recognises a commitment to quality by its members through the demonstration of high standards of ethical conduct and fundamental operational practices.
We hold a $20 million public liability insurance policy. All necessary permits and licences have been obtained from the relevant authorities, including Parks Victoria, the Department of Sustainability and Environment and local Foreshore Committees.
