Stage 2 | Convict Life at the Barracks
Investigate what daily life was like for the male convicts who lived at the Hyde Park Barracks during this hands on learning program.
Stage 3 | Home: Convicts, Migrants and First Peoples
Investigate the themes of displacement and resilience through the experiences of convicts, migrants, and Aboriginal peoples.
Stage 4 | Archaeology Underfoot
During this hands-on archaeology program, students use artefacts – including the building – to investigate the layered history of the Hyde Park Barracks and the people who lived there during the 19th century.
Accessible schools program Stages 1 to 6 | Making Connections
Making Connections is an onsite program at the Hyde Park Barracks for primary and secondary school students with moderate to high, or complex access requirements. Developed in consultation and collaboration with experts, teachers and students.
