Information you need to know:
Manuel is passionate about sharing his culture and giving students an insight of what it was like having to hunt for his own food and sleep under the stars.
Top Didj has put together two educational books, one for primary and one for high school students. We hope that these booklets provide a structure for students to fully engage with the information provided by Manuel and give them an awareness to take back to their home and find out more about the indigenous people where they come from.
The booklets give more insight to the diversity of First Nations Australians, their social organisation and their continuous connection to Country/Place. They are inextricably linked to the three dimensions of the Australian Curriculum and is primarily aimed at the 6-10 curriculum though its relevance can extend to the Year 11 level.
