Our Lil’ Rockstar Program is training the next generation of Rockstars!
Children are guided through our totally unique workshop with REAL musical instruments, at our incredible Rock n’ Roll event space - The SoundLab Music School in Prahran!
Our program runs for 90 minutes, our ideal class sizes are for around 30-40 kids. We are current providers for Team Kids Holiday Program and have delivered our Program to thousands of children state wide! We have options available for either school excursion to our venue in Prahran, or possible school incursion to your venue - budget depending.
Your event will be tailored by dedicated music teachers and your group supervised through our program of age appropriate activities that include:
Rock Q&A/Quiz - Rockstar dress-ups and a Paparazzi shoot!
Mini Electric Guitars - Electronic Drum Kits
Karaoke with Wireless Mics – A Percussion Workshop & more!
Here’s a bit more of a detailed run-down of what happens in the program:
To start the session we have a Q&A/Rock Trivia session – about who in the group plays what instruments, what ‘Rockstars’ we know or need to know about, some talk about what it is to be a ‘Rockstar’.
Then we dress up as Rockstars, we learn some rock moves, have a musical statues dance off & paparazzi shoot to get a nice group photo of us all dressed up and in rock poses (of those without photo restrictions).
We run a percussion workshop and performance to our favourite song by Queen ‘We will Rock You’.
We then move onto the three stations the children will rotate between – The Guitar Lab, Drum Lab & Karaoke for the duration of the session.
Our Guitar Lab features mini Epiphone electric Flying V and Les Paul guitars, Our Drum Lab Features Roland Electronic Drum Kits & for Karaoke we can play YouTube videos with lyrics of the kids favourite songs on our big screen and we have wireless mics setup for them to sing into.
We have access to a pretty ace playlist that the kids will be into and we can also simply search any of their favourite songs with lyrics on the spot!
We also have the potential (at an extra cost) where we can create a recording and mix this to a CD as a keep sake for each of the kids.
