The Phillip Island Nature Parks Education Department is the leader in marine and ecotourism education. We strive to fully engage your students with unique, fun, hands on educational programs!

The new Koala Conservation Centre allows your students, via treetop boardwalks, to view up close, koalas in their natural habitat. Explore the sustainable visitors centre full of information and facts.

Have one of our dedicated rangers take your students on a tour across the boardwalks, explaining the koalas special features, habitat, threats and what the Phillip Island Nature Parks does to protect the koala through its management strategies. The Nature Parks is involved in the research and conservation on the koala population on Phillip Island.

Discover the Koala Conservation Centre on a mystery spotlight. Explore the many amazing nocturnal animals of the Australian bush. Investigate the behavior, habitat and requirements of the animals you discover.

Go on a bush tucker trail with our rangers and learn about the Indigenous clan of Phillip Island and how they survived on a variety of food from the environment. Explore how the land was used before European people settled here.

Our programs utilise a range of teaching pedagogies including walks, talks and hands on activities and are presented by rangers who possess an intimate knowledge of Phillip Islands wildlife and their habitat.

The programs cater for all types of learners, have been developed in accordance with the five Es phases of learning and are linked with the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) and VCE study designs.
