Onsite School Excursions

Sydney Learning Adventures is taking new bookings for 2024.   We welcome any bookings for our programs in Sydney's historic areas of The Rocks and Darling Harbour. Sydney Learning Adventures vision is to create quality educational school excursions that are enriching, diverse, safe, accessible and sustainable.

Our school excursion programs have been developed in consultation with academic educators and practising classroom teachers. Our curriculum-linked, outcomes-focused approach aims to provide engaging, interactive, multi-layered learning experiences for all students. The programs are facilitated by our team of dynamic interpretive guides and cater to all stages and types of learners, from kindergarten to Year 12.

Archaeology and Aboriginal Virtual Online Programs
ICC Sydney virtual events studios are being utilised for the newly condensed hour long Archaeology  programs (Little Diggers, Dirt Detectives, Pieces of the Past, Cesspits and Old Rubbish & Groundwork - Archaeology at the Big Dig) and Aboriginal programs (Gadigal Mudgin, Ngara, Giba-Nura and Mana-Nura).   Here’s a snippet of the programs

Teacher Comments:
"Wow! That was incredibly valuable. I’m going to discuss on Zoom with small groups of students.”

I thought kids in Stage 2 might struggle with a whole hour but from my perspective (Year 4) I think they will have really enjoyed it. Will check in with them later".

“Thank you so much for presenting the online Groundwork program. You were able to offer our students an experience that they would not have been able to have otherwise.”

"Thank you I also really enjoyed it and will also discuss with my students on zoom. The lesson was pitched perfectly to our students with wonderful language and storytelling. Students would have found the discussion over artefacts so interesting".
