Our education programs are designed to assist with a range of AusVELS dimensions, learning outcomes and initiatives for students and are delivered by passionate educators, who inspire and engage. Included in each program is a fascinating journey from the coast to the ocean depths through 12 themed zones, including one of the world’s largest Saltwater Crocodiles, the Australian Rainforest Adventure, Sub-Antarctic penguins, Seahorses and Seadragons and the only Elephant Sharks in captivity in Australia. Students also get to find out how it feels to touch a sea star and the other creatures living in our interactive rock pool.

SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium also gives students of any age the opportunity to get up close and personal with our much loved creatures for an unforgettable experience. The Ocean Rangers school holiday program for primary school aged students includes a full educational tour, an exclusive look behind-the-scenes, art and craft activities and the chance to meet aquarium aquarists and keepers and is the perfect action packed day out for kids. The Aquarist for a Day program for secondary school students provides the unique opportunity to experience a day in the life of an Aquarist at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium, including preparing food and feeding the animals.
