The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has a wide range of educational programs and experiences delivered throughout the State.
Our education programs focus on teaching students about the environment, conservation, park management, bushfires, Aboriginal culture, historic heritage and much more. All school-aged excursions and incursions are aligned with the NSW curriculum, with other programs also available for early learning through to tertiary education.
We are proud to have a team of passionate and knowledgeable staff who lead students on immersive experiences through the many unique and special places found in NSW national parks. Students can experience the bliss of the Blue Mountains, the sights of the Snowy Mountains or the history of Sydney Harbour with our experienced education team. In some locations, local Aboriginal community members and guides spend time with students, on Country, to share important cultural knowledge and stories. These experiences take children outside of the classroom, providing them with authentic learning opportunities that will engage and inspire.

If students cannot visit our parks in person, we also have incursions that have been developed for delivery in the classroom. Alternatively, teachers can explore our online resources that include syllabus-aligned units of work and classroom activities.
Our programs are run throughout the year, with holiday programs also available to keep those young minds active and engaged.
