With assistance from our experienced, knowledgeable and supportive cave guides, students explore the limestone cave environment including its formation, flora, fauna and conservation requirements. They will learn about the variety of cave speleothems, understand how these grow and what influences their development. They will marvel at the fauna which exists in the depths and darkness of the cave, and examine the stories surrounding Ngilgi Cave from the perspective of Indigenous Australians and European Settlers alike.
A variety of Ngilgi Cave educational adventures and less adventurous leisure experiences are available to cater to all different ages and fitness levels. Soft adventure tour options such as the award-winning Ancient Riverbed Tour ensure educational discovery and fun team focused achievement. Our Legends and Lanterns Tour offers a more leisurely tour experience through the main show cave but is equally as captivating and authentically highlights the unique historical significance of iconic Ngilgi Cave.
