The Story of Wool and more! Through interactive displays, working exhibits and knowledgeable guides, the National Wool Museum in Geelong brings this story to life. Diverse topics to explore include agriculture, textiles, rural life, manufacturing, science and technology, the arts, crafts, literature and more.

We provide teachers with resources such as curriculum based Education Kits (with pre- and post-visit suggestions), guided tours and specialised activities. We also want students (and teachers) to have a good time, lots of fun and enhanced learning experiences. We have an onsite cafe, bus parking and a beach and park nearby.

The temporary exhibitions program also enables schools to visit the Museum regularly to explore a wide variety of cultural themes and experiences. With up to eight changing exhibitions each year, there's always something new to experience – visit our website to find out about our latest exhibitions. We offer activities and programs for students at all levels, from early childhood through to adult and specialised education.

Visit our website www.nwm.vic.gov.au to download our Teacher Guides and browse our online resources. We are happy to tailor a program to meet your needs.

Please telephone our Education Officer Sara Gillies on (03) 5272 4706 or email [email protected] to discuss your educational requirements.

Bookings: School group entry price is $4.25 per student (accompanying teachers and supervisors are free) Programs run for a minimum of 60 minutes. Please allow extra time if you wish students to further explore the Museum following their program (at no extra charge). Bus parking is available directly in front of the Museum.
