School Excursions at the Museum of Fire - As the leading Museum for understanding all things related to fire (e.g., bushfires and the role of firefighters in the community) the Museum is a great place to bring students as they can engage with the content they have been studying in school in a fun and interactive environment outside of the classroom. Our expert staff will guide students through key learning areas and assist teachers to deliver a worthwhile learning experience.
The Museum's education programs are suitable for Kindergarten to Year 6 students. Each excursion is tailored to the relevant stage group curriculum, the topics being covered in class, and whether the visit is an introduction to a unit or the culmination of a unit of work. When you arrive, teachers and helpers will be provided with a structured timetable for your visit.
The Museum is located about an hour west of Sydney, and makes for a great day visit, or stop-off destination on your way to/from the Blue Mountains.
