We host a wide range of groups; the primary focus of many is biology, marine science, environment and/or indigenous culture.

We link with a lot of Educational and Recreational activity providers on the island and can assist to organise a rewarding camp.

Dunwich has at least 20,000 years of indigenous habitation. It was also one of the first colonial settlements 200 years ago; being a transhipment and Quarantine station for early Queensland, a lepper colony, then for many decades an asylum for war damaged WW1 soldiers. A local museum has chronicled this history. You will arrive on the island over the convict-built causeway.
