Our Adventure Kokoda 4 Schools program is a unique learning pilgrimage based on the adversity of Australia’s wartime history and the physical challenge of trekking across the rugged and remote Owen Stanley Range in Papua New Guinea.
The program provides a cultural awakening towards our closest neighbour which has been referred to as a ‘Land of a Thousand Cultures’ – a ‘Parliament of a Thousand Tribes’ – a ‘Land of the Unexpected’.
We experience just two of those cultures during our pilgrimage – the Koiari and the Orokaiva – who are direct descendants of the famous ‘fuzzy-wuzzy angels’.
