Located in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, award-winning Jenolan Caves is renowned for awe-inspiring beauty. We offer the chance to experience rare wildlife, unchanged and contrasting ecosystems, and geological formations wilder than the imagination.
We offer experiential learning through bush navigation/orienteering, environmental studies walks, guided show cave tours (choice of 10 spectacular limestone caves), multilingual self-guided audio cave tour (highlighting Aboriginal Culture) and self-guided audio bushwalks (focusing on geology, history or Aboriginal Culture). Where else might you spot rare brush tailed rock wallabies or wild platypus?
We also offer Adventure Caving, where, using head-lamps and overalls, students, explore, crawl, even abseil, like real cavers, and learn about the cave environment up close, building teamwork and self-confidence!
Don’t like enclosed spaces? Then you will love our ‘twilight’ Nettle Cave, featuring rare stromatolites.
Our nationally accredited guides cater for students K-12. Programs incorporate all curriculum areas. We can tailor-make programs to fulfil your KLA outcomes. We provide study information, worksheets, and we complete the risk management paperwork for you.
School groups who stay overnight can tour the caves in the evening. We offer a wide choice of great accommodation – practical backpacker lodge, self-contained bush cottages, modern motel and historic guesthouse. Facilities include spacious café and huge restaurant, where we can provide all meals.
