The Art Gallery of Ballarat (AGB) offers a variety of tours and school excursion workshops designed to appeal to students at different levels of education and promote creative thinking, visual literacy, communication skills, confidence in being in a gallery environment and self-confidence in personal interpretations of art. We aim to support classroom practice and extend knowledge and understanding of the Gallery's unique permanent collection and constantly changing temporary exhibitions.

AGB Education Officers are available to conduct tours and run workshops for Kindergarten and Prep to Year 12 students. Our programs respond to the Victorian Curriculum, including the VCE Curriculum. We also welcome the participation of Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) and tertiary student groups in AGB programs. For full program details, check the Gallery website.
