Adventure Park is Victoria’s biggest water theme park, located just over an hour’s drive from Melbourne on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula, near Geelong and the start of the Great Ocean Road.
The park’s huge line up of rides and attractions make it the ultimate school excursion destination, and it features the monster TSUNAMI and TORNADO waterslides, two of the biggest water rides of their kind in the state!
The brand new TSUNAMI is Victoria's only triple funnel waterslide and of monster proportions. At an incredible 27m high and 172m in length, the TSUNAMI promises thrill seekers the ultimate aquatic rush. Raging torrents and waves of water will swirl and suck riders on a tube down a series of twisting tunnels and whirlpool funnels at crashing speeds in an epic ride students 120cm+ tall will love.
The TORNADO is a heart stopping, adrenaline pumping thrill ride that got everyone talking when it opened to the public in 2017. Up to four riders on a tube twist and turn their way down a pipeline before plunging a huge seven storeys into the eye of the storm, getting nearly vertical on the funnel walls and weightless with zero gravity. The tube gets swished around and out the funnel, banking up the sides of the pipe wall as it spins around a second 360 degree corkscrew. It’s 35 seconds of pure exhilaration and suitable for kids over 120cm tall.
There’s more thrills and spills to be had on water rides like the speed racing Aqua Racer, Gold Rush Rapids and Wild West Canyon waterslides, and plenty of space for students to run free in the many aqua splash play zones where water canons, tipping buckets, slides, spray jets and fountains provide endless interactive fun. But you can’t go past a relaxing cruise on the Lazy River on a nice day.
Enjoy the views from the new 20m Air Balloons tower and take a spin on the classic Tea Cups ride. Challenge students to a few rounds on two mini golf courses. The Kids Town precinct offer other ‘dry’ rides to delight younger children including a Grand Carousel, a dizzying Crazy Coaster, a high flying Red Baron plane ride and a Little Buggy Speedway that lets little kids jump into the driver seat of a car.
Hire a BBQ and bring your own food, or for those who like to pack light there’s a big selection of food, beverages and treats available in the dining venues.
The park’s full with lots of free sun lounges and shaded areas for picnic blankets and an on-site shop with swimwear, towels and souvenirs, should the students forget anything.
