Partner with Sport and Recreation and discover how easy it is to boost your students’ learning outside the classroom.

At each of Sport and Recreation’s 11 scenic locations across NSW – offering bush, river, beach or alpine settings, and sometimes a mix of both – the classroom is transplanted outdoors and children are inspired to learn while having fun in beautiful, natural surrounds.
For teachers, the good news is that Sport and Recreation programs are tailored to meet primary and secondary school objectives, and typically cater to both age groups. Plus, outdoor leaders are trained and accredited to ensure vibrant yet safe learning experiences for students, with teachers invited to join in the fun-filled learning.

For students, going to camp is a great way to:

  • build independence
  • develop self-esteem
  • learn about teamwork
  • make new friends
  • try new things
  • get a taste of the great outdoors

A diverse range of interesting programs for students are available during term-time to boost school curriculum objectives and students’ personal development. Whether it’s a Snow Sports program at Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains, Go Wild at Lake Burrendong in central-west NSW, or a Future Leaders program at Lake Ainsworth on the Ballina Byron coast, they have plenty to pique your students’ interest, to align with your school requirements and, best of all, to meet a limited budget.
