Cairns Tropical Zoo is a great place for your next school excursion. Our twice daily wildlife presentations include information that is both educational and entertaining. The program includes giant saltwater crocodiles, stunning snakes featuring the world’s most venomous snake, and free flying birds doing what comes naturally – flying free! Keeper talks on koalas and wombats and their distant relationship, and our beautiful but endangered Red Pandas will make this a school outing to remember. We can structure special talks to school groups on a particular topic of interest – eg the endangered Cassowary. There is a lot more to see – emus and dingoes, lizards and monitors, alligators and cotton top tamarins, and a large mob of tame kangaroos just waiting to be hand fed. Come and see our new family of ring-tailed lemurs.
